Fresh two song 7” of POWER’s early 70s melbourne boogie influenced rock played with modern punk sensibility and tempo gear shifts that satisfy both fist-pumping and twist-doing urges. A side ROAD DOG has enough triumphant accents and lead breaks to keep you hooked for all five and a half minutes and is arguably their strongest output to date. Makes sense it’s a single from their upcoming lp on IN THE RED. The B side DEATH KID is exclusive to this release and sounds like a throttled version of AZTECS’ “mamma” down to a surprising tap solo, but with a tight song structure and loosened vocal delivery. Blues rock played with enough attack to sound almost classic heavy metal inspired, but it’s a punk record. Funny how that works. 200 pressed; 50 RED vinyl, 150 BLACK vinyl. About 50 stubbie coolers came with orders direct from the label.
